Just days before it was set to open to the public in 2018, the historic Minor House was lost to fire. After years of restoration and anticipation, the community never had the chance to step inside and experience the stories it was meant to tell. Today, that story can continue — with your help.
The Minor House was meant to become part of the living history of Marshville Heritage Village, joining the other restored buildings that allow visitors to experience life in rural Niagara over a century ago. Instead, the flames took it before its doors ever opened.
Now, in 2025, the rebuilding has begun. Volunteers and supporters are working together to recreate the house so it can finally take its place in the village and share the history it was meant to preserve.
But rebuilding a historic home requires the support of the community that believes in protecting its past. Your donation will help restore the Minor House so future generations can walk through its doors, learn its stories, and connect with the history of Marshville.
The Minor House rebuild is a community-driven project. Every donation helps bring this historic home back to life and ensures it can be experienced by future generations.
