Marshville Heritage Society's Heritage preservation

INCO BARN

This barn was used for farming and stayed within the Swayze/Davison family for 4 generations. It was quite normal for farms to be in the same family for decades.


Today the barn reflects its original use for farming.

Fast Facts


  • Built between 1850 - 1900 this barn was located in Humberstone Township (Port Colborne)


  • The original settlers , the Swayze family, were from Germany


  • The Davison family (daughter of Swayze ) farmed until 1996
